What makes Clear-Coat so special?
Clear-Coat is made from urethane film which is a clear, scratch-resistant material and it is less than 1/100th of an inch thick with an adhesive backing. It is made from the same material that is used on cars, airplanes and boats to prevent the finish from wearing.
Will Clear-Coat damage your device?
Not at all! Clear-Coat has been made so that it is able to protect your device from just about anything! The adhesive is semi-permanent, which means it’s difficult to take off by accident, but easy to remove if that’s what you want.
Will Clear-Coat change the overall look of my device?
Only the tiniest bit, it is a mere 1/100th of an inch thick, so it definitely doesn’t add any bulk, and most people wont even notice it once it’s applied! The film is slightly glossy though, so if you’ve got a matte finish it will look shinier, and if you have an already shiny surface, it will just emphasize it.
Will Clear-Coat help make my device waterproof or shockproof?
Unfortunately not, water can still get in at the seams! The same goes with shockproof – Clear-Coat is ridiculously thin, so dropping your device would still cause a shock to the system, but Clear-Coat can guarantee that when you pick it up, you’ll probably notice Clear-Coat has stopped it from getting nicks or scratches!
Will Clear-Coat hide old scratches?

I’ve run out of the installation solution, what do I do now?
You can actually mix your own solution! The ratio is 5ml of liquid soap (preferably baby shampoo) per 16oz of water. Just lightly swirl or stir the solution together, but don’t shake it because you don’t want it to bubble up.
What does Clear-Coat’s Lifetime Warranty mean?
If your Clear-Coat begins to fall apart (e.g. corners come up, adhesive fails, it gets a hole in it…), all you have to do is make sure you keep your old Clear-Coat and send it back to us, and we’ll send you a brand new one to put on. Click here to request a replacement
